At first blush, it sounds like it could also be CHP territory[?[, but here is another thread on that frequency from 6 years ago.

Negative CHP.
Positive SDSO
1. The license is San Diego County.
2.The MO license is KA4241
3. KMJ736 is for 3 additional east county peaks
4. These are residuals for mountain & desert coverage from the days of the 60's & ‘70's when everything SDSO was VHF-LO band (44/45 MHz). I have no idea how much it is used today.
5. Over the decades the SDSO moved to VHF-HI, UHF (453 MHz) & now P25. With each move the amount of VHF-LO reduced 45.38.

My listening days began in 1964 with a Layette 30-50 MHz analog (what else) receiver when I became the volunteer dispatcher for the Del Mar FD (46.46 KAY234). Fire, CHP , SO, all VHF LO. Heaven. Two years latter I left the area.
Good night.

Back in the 90's I remember the OJ patrol SUVs had the big 1/4 wave LB whips on the rear quarter panel like CHP.

I totally remember those big 1/4 whips. And speaking of old school SDSO low band repeater freqs and old SDSO cruisers... For another trip down memory lane, do you all remember the boxy green and white 1980's Ford Crown Victorias SDSO had circa the 80's into the early 90's? :)

I think you mistook a Mt Dew delivery truck for a Sheriffs patrol car

And I remember when SDSO had an ambulance stationed at the Pine Valley substation. I know there were others, but I don't remember were they were located at. Somewhere I have a picture of the one at Pine Valley. At the time the Pine Valley substation was co-located with the now defunct Pine Valley FPD (station 84).
