BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Newly manufactured 486 scanners

Have the numerous bugs (hardware and software) about clock loss and scanner lockups been fixed on the newly made 486 scanners and associated Uniden software? Is the ARC software good for this 486 model?

I assume you are referring to the BCD436HP. I purchased one last summer and have not had any problems with it. I use the free Uniden Sentinel software. It is just as good if not better than the ARC, plus you will need the Sentinel to do firmware updates.

I agree with W8RMH, great scanner, Sentinel is great software.
