Currently hearing two techs? on 8Tac93 852.51250 talking about the rain getting into antenna wires on towers and messing coverage up, they were talking about contacting Hampton and see if they could utilize their system, until the storm system rolls out of here.

A tech said rain was getting into their antenna wires on towers? Unbelievable! No wonder they have coverage problems.

Reception for scanners is pretty good though.

Sounds like they never used Hampton's system, just heard them on ORION TG 444 NN EOC talking about emergency handhelds, Battalion 2 and Radio Maint. are on TG 441 NNFD 1 talking about a dispatcher monitoring.

The Lee Hall site has always had problems with flooding and water issues since they put it up

I wonder why they dismissed their Phase 2 system in May? Didn't they issue APX portables?

I guess I can understand since we have lots of connector problems caused by poor/sloppy installation. Hard to get good help it seems.
