Was at Global news in Calgary the other day doing some work and they were listening to Fire and Police alerts on something but didn't get a chance to ask anyone what it was. Anyone know what it might be? It was crystal clear and i never heard any static or motorboating like i do using my 396t, i was starting to think they had actual Fire and Police radios it was so clear.. any idea's?

Calgary News crews do have Motorola radio's provided by the police to monitor basic dispatch. They have to agree to certain things to have this priviledge. One of them may be to not use a digital scanner on the city system.
