Here in Ohio I am hearing from a local police chief that the 800 trunking band being used has been sold to Nextel, all but the Xenia area. I live in Clinton County and am wondering what will be next and if it will be possible to monitor it, I've heard it will not be. Any advice!?!?!??

sounds like you should move to Xenia. The police chief does not know what he is talking about. Some users of 800 MHz frequencies are going to be moved within 800 MHz and Nextel will pay the cost of the move. But no agency has to leave 800 MHz. You can search on here for rebanding and read all about it.

I ask a police chief what channel they were on and he said "One" and sometimes "Two"

That shows you SC boys are really behind the times. In NC we also have Ch 3 & 4
