Nextel ID Radio Mexico help

Hello, Nextel

I need help to contact my friend in monterrey. She have a Nextel Radio ID.
I tried to call using 009 +52 1 XXXXXXXXX & 009 +52 XXXXXXXXXX but nothing happen!
009 is required for my country to get an international connection..
009 + 61 3 xxxxxxxxxx is my mum's number is australia, that works fine

How can I call that from my country? I am confused as the id number, I cannot connect?

must she be on the plan enabled Direct Connect?

Direct Connect does not require the Country Codes.

You need to know her D/C ID not her Phone # and she will need
International D/C enabled, otherwise extra $$ will be on the bill.

first query,
direct connect does not require country codes?

If I call from Thailand? I would require a country code +52 yeh?

2nd query is direct connect and normal 2way radio has same or 2 different ID's?

the extra $$$ would be on my side or hers?

You need to know the 'Private ID' or 'Pvt ID' (direct connect) of the person that you want to talk to. this is located somewhere in the menu of the phone under 'My Information', i cannot say where because it is located in different places depending on the model of phone. I am not understanding what you mean by your second question.

There could be 4 unique ID's in a iDEN radio listed in the menu under "My Info", in my iDEN radio it is in: 'Menu', 'Tools' 'My Info'

Line1- this will be a normal phone number
Line2- this will probably read "Not Available" unless the radio has 2 phone numbers.
Private ID- this is your PRIVATE radio to radio ID, it will be a series of numbers seperated by 2 ' * ' symbols.
Group ID- this is your Group ID it is used to id your iDEN radio when set up to communicate on a Talk Group ('one to many') unless your radio is set-up to be used on a talkgroup this will read "Not Available".

The ID you need to DC to another Nextel radio is the Private ID. Enter the Private ID **EXACTLY** as it is shown in the phone that you want to communicate with. you should not need to add a country code to it

Although my phone number and Private ID are the same it is common that the phone number and the Private ID are different.
