Does anyone have the new re-banded freq for Milwaukee county's TRS system And who is on the new freq.

I know the Milwaukee county Transit System is on the new freq. We all got new radios 6 months ago. the Transit Talk groups are the same on teh new Freq.

Huh? Nothing changes for the end users.

I know the Milwaukee county Transit System is on the new freq. We all got new radios 6 months ago. the Transit Talk groups are the same on teh new Freq.

MCTS has their new equipment, but they are not rebanded or "on the new freq" as you put it. You can not re-band one user but not the hundred's of others. When every end user and subscriber unit is ready to go, then the infrastructure will be converted.

The system admin can feel free to step in here any time ;)

I don't have a list right in front of me, but all the system frequencies will drop by eactly 15.0 MHz once the infrastructure / tower side is retuned (later this year).

All the portables and mobiles are being re-flashed right now to hold both the 'old' and 'new' frequency plans. When the "switch" is thrown and the system begins transmitting on the rebanded frequencies, the radios will automatically lock on to the new frequency plan.

I believe the data/telemetry side is already on the rebanded frequeny, but not much to listen to unless you enjoy data noise...

When they flip the switch for the rebanded freqs you will need these.
851.0875
851.1500
851.1750
851.5875
851.6500
852.0375
852.0625
852.8500
853.1625
853.2375
853.5250
853.6125
853.6375

These 2 freqs are / were Transit Data, but one of them is suppose become a voice channel. So enter both until we find out which one is voice
853.0625
853.5500

I am guessing the Band Plan will be the same as the Sheboygan TRS, which is Band Plan 1 & 2

I was hoping they would be on schedule, they were talking April of this year.
Really interested in seeing and hearing the changes. Sounds like new templates for everyone will have fewer talkgroups, since some are never used or rarely used. Sounds like most Fire Depts will just have Primary & Secondary, and all the Mutual Aid talkgroups like...
Firecom 1 - 32848 (common 1 now)
Firecom 2 - 32880 (common 2 now)
Firecom 3 - 32912 (common 3 now)
Firecom 4 - 34896
Firecom 5 - 34928
and their local option stuff like PD & DPW
I think they will also have the primary talkgroups of every Fire Dept in their radios

Then there is that new MPD talkgroup, whatever that is for.
