Niagara Falls, NY help

Is all primary operations for county and city operations (PD/FD/EMS) on the P25 public safety trunk system, or are some stuff still on the conventional UHF frequencies? Couldn’t really understand how it works, I understand the FD is on the system with simulcast to the conventional system. Am new to the area and still trying to properly fix up the programming, thanks

Yes, I just pulled them up. All units appear to be on the Niagara County TRS, but its patched together, and you can still monitor them conventional analog.

One thing I am confused about is there a group of “Law Enforcement” talk groups, and then there is a “Niagara Falls” with law enforcement, is this the city operations on the system or how is this configured so I can understand what I am listening to.

Niagara falls is just niagara falls police. The law enforcement is everyone else in the county. Troopers, deputies and town police are all on the same talk group

what model scanner are you using?

An SDS100 that busted, but dropping down to a BCD436 as I didn’t have the money to replace it as it and I got the 436 free for helping a buddy.
