Hello, I am an electronics enthusiast and a noob, into researching various signal types, detections, counter-surveillance measures and security. I am currently looking for an affordable and accurate (should be most popular in the market) Wireless RF SIGNAL GENERATOR that can generate upto frequency of 8Ghz + . I need it for the purposes of testing counter-surveillance based Wifi signal sweep detectors (primarily their accuracy, reliability, and genuineness). To understand this best, have a look at the below video :

Would appreciate if anyone can suggest a reliable model in the market (Wireless) that can generate frequencies upto 8Ghz and more. Thanks.

I don't have a recommendation for a signal generator but I would recommend getting an accurate RF survey meter and probe to check the accuracy of other signal detectors. I used to use them at my job and I have a Narda similar to this one.

When comparing an accurate calibrated Narda RF survey meter to something like the Trifield 100XE multi function EMF meter, the Trifield is a joke with numbers on the meter meaning nothing. A Narda can show RF levels from a microwave oven or just about anything at a very low safe level where the Trifield would make you believe you are about to die.
