I've been monitoring the Bethesda site for days and all I ever see is data traffic (pagers?). Is there ever any voice usage?

What are you using to monitor this system? How do you know what you are seeing is data? That said, I've only seen encrypted radio traffic on this system, but the last time I checked was when the P25 system first came online. There are system-level housekeeping events that may show up as "data" which are unrelated to conversations / comms.

sdrtrunk. Sorry, I see the encrypted traffic as well. My question should have been has anyone heard any unencrypted traffic on the system. I suspect not since there are no talkgroups in the database for it.

I haven't monitored since I retired two years ago, but I worked across the street and listened all the time.
Here is the security T/G from my Homepatrol II file. They also had three sites for frequencies. I have another list for maintenance & housekeeping T/gs. Let me know if you want the .hpe file.

Any idea on where I can find this system in the Sentinel software ? I looked under Montgomery “County System's” but not seeing it. Thank you

You won't see it in Sentinel if it doesn't have any identified talk groups.
