I've been watching this on the news. Hopefully everything goes ok and nobody gets killed.

Well, they finally got the gear down, and it landed uneventfully at Hillsboro. FlightAware did a great job of tracking the flight while it was going on, I even saw the track from that site on CNN...

When you hit the link, you can see they were everywhere burning off fuel.

Must have been a new aircraft for them as during the '96 Olympics, Nike flew in on a/c N1KE.

They still have N1KE... That was the first plane I tried to track. Beleive it or not, it was in the air at the same time, flying from KHIO (Hillsoboro) to KTRM (somewhere in southern California). It flew back to Hillsboro later in the day. Looks like it was only on the ground in KTRM for 40 minutes - maybe just to pick someone up.

Was the maiden voyage for Nike, they'd just bought the plane from Gulfstream, where it had been traded back from another company that was purchasing another plane. I think they said it went into service in '96.
