Nil-Jon Mobile Antenna - Opinions/Experiences

I have one of these antennas, and have had it for a while now in use with a BC780 (soon to be 796D). I just find, I'm not overly impressed by it, whether I'm monitoring VHF/UHF or 800. Just curious what other users are experiencing. Thanks for any feedback - pro, con or indifferent.

I've owned one for almost a year now. Overall, its not a bad antenna. It handles VHF-Hi & UHF very well. Its ok on VHF Lo and I would say about average on 800Mhz. I find the biggest disadvantage is that its ugly. I would still recommend it if you were looking for something that covers all bands.

Yeah, it is kinda ugly! Before I got it, I was using 3 separate antennas. A vhf, uhf and one for 800 mhz through a switch. I only went to the Nil-Jon to declutter my truck's rooftop. However, I think that my reception has gone down hill overall. I may be going back to my previous configuration just for the sake of better reception. I know having a separate antenna for each range is the best way to go, but I at least tried to find a compromise. Just isn't working out for me. Thanks for the input.
