Niljon Base

Anybody have experience with this antenna? I have the Diamond discone but it doesn't seem to do well on 800mhz. I am looking for an upgrade. I need something that does 800mhz as well as VHF/UHF. I've narrowed my search to either the Niljon or the Scantenna. Any suggestions??

I replaced my Diamond with the Super-M base and it blows the Diamond away. Far superior in all bands except low band. The Diamond was better there, but I don't listen to much low band anyway. It rocks in 800 MHz. I can pick up control channels as far as 30 miles away.

A Highley reccomended antenna IF you have good cable. I use to have 9913, but replaced it with 50' LMR-400 and have outstanding reception.
