I've slowly started updating the Db page for NIPSCO around where I live.

The fcc data isn't correct or NIPSCO is just doing whatever they want. FCC lists 935.150 as their Gary site but I've verified it by standing underneath the transmitter in Crown Point. It's definitely coming from there LOL.

I have Wheatfield and Thayer added to the Db and in the coming days I'll submit frequencies and LCNs for CP.

To save me a trip to Gary is there anyone north of Ridge Rd or even 30 who can take a listen around 935MHz? The Gary transmitter is just off 15th at their giant electricity sub.

David.

This license shows 935.150 at Crown Point. This license shows 935.150 licensed to several of their sites.

Interesting. Like I said, I'll map out Crown Point probably tonight after work and submit it. It's entirely possible that Gary is on 935.150 as well, there's a lot of geography in between. I'll just drive up there later this week.

I also have a NIPSCO node on Calls if anyone wants to remotely monitor it. It's parked on Wheatfield but I hear systemwide calls on it, or at least neighbors as well. Terre Haute and Lafayette have been heard on there.

This is what I have so far. Eventually I'll figure out how to map this out in graphics.

Anyone have any more to fill in? If I have LCNs and freqs that means I can receive it from my location in south lake county.

It shows Network 10
Please stop making changes to that DB entry.

This is an Apple Vs. Oranges situation.

Somebody mapped out that systems using a different software and format than what you are using.

Now that DB Entry is AFU-UFA, and DB Admins will have to determine if they can undo any errant updates that have been done; or scrap the entire entry and start over.

The original format that was used was: L11 Region(dot)Site number.

The format that you are using is: L10-(site number).

You can't mix them.

Then I'll just keep the information to myself and map it out for my own use. Or advise me how to make proper entries for this site.

As it is the database entry is useless for anyone trying to program it.

Right now I'm trying to add traffic channels and the correct control channels to the correct sites.

Most of the sites have the wrong CCs and no traffic channels.

I see you've been revising the Wiki page for this system. That's good! Maybe use the Wiki to map out the changes and once you're comfortable with the info, ask others to look at it to see if you are on the right track.

We are trying to clean this system up. Much work has been done so hopefully it is looking better. Please continue to put your research in the Wiki, thanks!

Do we know who the original submitter was for this system, years ago?

I would like to know which SDR software they used. Whichever software is was, does not read DMR T3 data the same way that DSD+ does.

The data that each of those pieces of software gather, are not compatibility with each other.

If we knew the original software used, we could use that software to see what, if anything, is missing from this DB entry.

??? vs. DSD+, is like comparing apples vs. oranges. Looking at this system using DSD+ will make it appear to be a big hot mess because the only thing that is the same is the frequency.

I was the submitter in 2018 that noticed the change from EDACS to DMR. At that time DSD was showing this system mostly as L11 with regions but now DSD shows L10 without regions. I've seen this happen with one or two other systems that I believe are Cap Max; I have no explanation for this other than it would seem to be some kind of Cap Max anomaly.
