Would I have to listen to the NJSP Central or North to hear comms along the route 440 through Middlesex county in the area of the Outer Bridge? Also what channel is it on (3Comm, 4Comm etc)? I once heard it was on the North system 5Comm (Somerville) but as I look at NJ troop maps, and I think that Somerville is quite a ways from that area, I do wonder if it is in fact part of the Central system.

The answer is both Troop B and Troop C. On the Troop B system, you will hear it on 5 Comm (B2-5 South) and on Troop C, it will be 4 Comm (C3-4 North). However, I have heard them "cross" TG's on occasions, so you never know where they'll turn up.

Rt.'s 440 and 287 are covered by Troop B B2-5 5-COMM. PAPD covers the Staten Island Bridges.
