I just received a new Whistler 1080 and I'm unable to track NJICS from my location in NYC. I'm hoping someone with a 1080 or a PSR800 might have some ideas. Here's the situation:
- I'm certain I can receive in my location, since my BCD463HP will follow the system
- The scanner seems to receive the control channel (it shows the "T" icon, anyway) but it does not stop on any channels and does not break the squelch
- Programmed with the latest version of EZ scanner, and scanner is running latest firmware and database
- Scanner receives other conventional and P25 systems (NYC DoITT, Nassau county, Fort Lee with great decode)
- Frequencies for the W Orange site are correct - usually the strongest signal for me
- Talkgroups are programmed to a scanlist.
- I've tried programming just one site - no luck
Any obscure programming tricks or problems that anyone may be aware of? Anything else to check for? Any system or site options that might be the cause
Thanks!
