NJ IRT Search & Rescue?

I saw this on the side of a pickup truck near the Rockaway Mall today. The sign looked like one of those magnetic signs you stick on the side of your vehicle and he had a red light on his roof. Does anyone know anything about who or what this is?

It was probably a member of the NJSP statewide USAR Team know as
New Jersey Task Force -1. See RR database in the NJSP Troops for all of their Talkgroups as well as the two conventional 800 channels used.

Perhaps... NJ RIT as in Rapid Intervention Team?

Although it would seem kinda pointless to have a RIT pickup truck you never know...

No it was IRT. I had to look twice because when I saw S&R, I was expecting TF-1. It wasn't even a nice pickup, it was a 5 year old small p/u with a cap on it.

NJ IRT is a private volly SAR team, big in to cave rescue. They have been around for at least 15 years. Nice bunch of folks.
