Be on the lookout for Trenton to make the jump soon. They have a block of talk groups starting at 5329 to 5449. They were doing some testing today and according to my Unitrunker logs, everything has been in the clear SO FAR.
Has Trenton been the ones using C3-2 lately? Wasn't sure if it was them or Hamilton.

Surprised they would move off Mercer Co. They sound really good on there (those that are in the clear like FD). But that was supposed to be a stop gap measure anyway.

Yes, a rebroadcast of police dispatch only has been in the clear on C3-2com Hamilton HQ's for quite a while pow. All other encrypted talk groups remained encrypted on the county TRS.

Haven't been following the migration lately except for this thread, I am retired and no longer listen to anything Trenton. This is all news to me.

An interesting note, while I was still working in Trenton when they went to the nxdn system, police were 100% in the clear for over 5 years with the caveat that if they could be listened to very easily by anyone without sophisticated equipment they would throw the switch, they were and they did.

Noted a new RID set today, RID 3250001, affiliated to Atlantic Health Dispatch 4761. Looks like it was previously affiliated with Newark Fire 4 at some point. Guessing it's just another of the many EMS radios around.

Something up with 4 Comm/5 Comm?
You'll have to be more specific than that, as there are three talkgroups each named 4-Comm and 5-Comm.

Also this is not the right thread to ask about the system itself or the state's talkgroups. Those question should go in the New Jersey Interoperability Communication System (NJICS) thread (this one is for discussing municipalities migrating to the system).

NJFFS gets a cache from the state typically early in the season for the Fire Towers to have access to the NJICS Forest Fire Channels and Interop Channels for the IMT. It could've been them getting tested and situated before being sent out.
