Can we please post all discussions regarding State agencies including PD, Toll Roads, NJ Transit, etc... on this thread from now on? Trying to make this board more organized as we approach the new year.

By the way, I am still not hearing Parkway State PD on the union Site. Anyone know when/if they will be simulcasting on here in the future?

Your idea of creating separate threads per County for the NJICS....you are essentially creating 22 different threads (21 NJ counties plus Statewide) for the same system....that's going to be a mess....

Incorrect Signal Zero.....there are nowhere near 22 counties using NJICS or have plans on using it. Several counties are implementing their OWN P25 systems and therefore do not NEED a thread. I know others have agreed with my idea on here in the past regarding having separate threads for the ACTIVE counties participating in NJICS because it's nearly impossible to follow multiple topics being discussed in the main thread at the same time. It lacks organization! Before you knock it, give it a chance. My idea is far better organized.

I like the multiple threads. The NJICS thread is ridiculously long and very hard to follow any particular topic.

I understand what you are trying to do, but where are your threads for Bergen (PIP Police) Cape May for the SO and a few PDs, etc. That's my point. If one little PD in a County joins the NJICS, are you going to create another whole thread for that County? And how am I incorrect...You are posting PIP info in the State thread and asking about the Union site in the State thread. This is where I already see the mess beginning.

Signal-Zero, I have always thought and agreed with your logic on various topics, but this time I ask that we all give it a chance. The original thread is out of control and covered topics from A to Z. Almost impossible to find a reference for a particular subject, and multiple times the same question is asked.

Just my opinion!

I don't live within range of the system, but I like to read the original thread to keep up on the status. I tend to agree it is getting unwieldly. I'm not sure that many individual threads will work, especially without sticking each one. If there is no activity for a while, they will go far down the list and new people won't know about them.
I have 2 possible suggestions:
A single sticky info thread that answers high level questions.
Use the Wiki for this purpose and create a sticky thread here that links to the Wiki as the source.

Let's see how it plays out...I agree it does need attention. My thing is right now I go to one spot for updates. And since I follow the thread, I get notified when there are new posts/ updates. But I'm not a mod anymore...not my decision. So have at it gentlemen and hopefully it works out.

Signal Zero, thanks for agreeing to give it a chance. I do agree that for those Counties such as Cape May, Salem, and Atlantic which have little to zero talkgroups, can definitely be combined. I only started threads for State Agencies, Union Co, and Essex Co since they are discussed most often. I will leave the decision up to you, the admins, and other members on this forum how to organize additional subtopics connected with NJICS. Bottom line....the current "Sticky" is just getting too disorganized and hard to follow.

It needs to be divided somehow. If it were divided by north, central, and south....then I assume the "State Agencies" section would stay on this thread then. Right now, most of the action seems to be happening in Union, Essex, and for state agencies on NJICS, so I personally feel that the new way it is set up is good for now. All general questions relating to the entire system can still be discussed in the main "sticky". Let's just give this a try guys and the admins can make adjustments in the future if necessary.

I'm confused now. Are we going to post updates now in this thread or in the original Sticky NJ ICS thread? Or are we posting the updates in all of the new threads?

General questions about the system as a whole should stay on the Sticky thread. However, specific questions/discussions on state agencies including NJT, toll roads, State Schools/colleges, state PD, etc.... should be posted here from now on. Any union county discussion should go on union county thread, and essex county likewise on their thread.

90% of forum members have agreed that NJICS needs to be sub-divided when asked about it weeks ago. Moderators haven't knocked it, so we are trying it. Time to organize this board a little.

Take a look on how the California Forum is setup with Sub-forums! I request the moderators create a sub-forum for the NJICS. Then in there provide topics, this makes the most sense

Who the hell cares about how CA does it! How about keeping the discussion back on topic. Stop hi-jacking the NJICS Statewide agency thread.

i'M not hijacking I'm just trying to organize things that make sense. Asking the moderator-s to create a subforum for the NJICS makes the most sense

I know it makes sense....however the mods haven't done anything in weeks, so I did. Please give it a rest.
