I am using a Uniden 536 and am only getting two or three transmissions daily from Tenafly or Oakland PD on the NJICS site. Is anyone else having this issue?
If you have Ramapo as one of your sites yes. You can check Oakland on 45.9800, they simulcast to lowband.Ok so if I put the scanner on hold and listen to Oakland TG 4915 I should be able to monitor that frequency like the analog frequencies?

You don't really need to program anything, it's all already in the Sentinel database. Open the system in Sentinel, then Append it to a favorites list. You can delete the sites you'll never listen to if you want, that will make scanning more efficient. Can anyone tell me how to program the control channels in the NJICS into Uniden 536 using sentinel software?
I did that and just have the Alpine and Ramapo sites, but it doesn't receive the transmissions consistently. You don't really need to program anything, it's all already in the Sentinel database. Yes , the signal is strong when I randomly receive it (Tenafly and Oakland PD) It does display DAT on the control channels and the squelch is set to 3. Nothing else was modified.Only one control channel per site will be active at a time, and frankly, the control channels on this system do not change (roll) very often, almost never unless there is an issue at the site, then they revert back to the primary control channel as soon as possible. As long as you have the most up to data Sentinel database and have appended that to a favorites list, there's not much more you need to do for those sites.
When the scanner is scanning those two sites, are you seeing a strong, solid signal? Is the scanner displaying DAT when it's idle on each control channel? What is your squelch set to? Have you modified anything else in the favorite list?
