NJSP FBI Patch

I noticed today that the NJSP Meadowlands talkgroup today was patched into a FBI Channel.

167.5375 N167 (I have this as D5 Spec Ops).

I have never seen anything like this before.

FBI at Stadium

There are many times that the FBI are at the stadium for games.
The federal agencies have brought in portable equipment, in the past, to hook up the various agencies. (the name of the equipment slips my mind at this time).
Before the first game they conducted numerous test of the equipment.
There have been other federal agencies at the game with the various special guest during the year.

Hi John,

I actually heard a patch from an NJSP system talkgroup to an FBI repeater when an FBI agent was shot a few years ago up in North Jersey.

The FBI as far as I know has the ability to patch into any police system,at least in the tri state area. They do it all the time in NYC. Joint operations can be run on any of the FBI or local frequencies for IO cooperation and safety ie:drug raids,terrorism,etc.

That freq 167.5375 has been in use there for the last 4 or 5 years for all jets and giants home games, normally patched in to NJSP these days.

The FBI is at every event in the meadowlands along with sometimes the dea...When they re not enrypted you can hear the FBI and DEA on they re own channels too

You'll hear Feds from FBI Red Bank office jump in on Monmouth County Car (154.875/151.4) every now & then, enroute to bank robberies or more likely calling in accidents on highways in the eastern shore area. They'll ID as "FBI xxxx to Monmouth County". Alot of Monmouth County police agencies have M/C Car capability. I've never heard the Feds on Troop A or C.

If you walk around the facility during the game, you might see a large box type truck with real dark blue or black colored paint. Should be a pile of antennas on the roof. These vehicles have all sorts of radios on VHF, UHF and 800 MHz with a gateway that can interconnect (patch) any of the radios together. The radios are programmed on an as needed basis for the locality they are in to match the local radio frequencies.
