Does anyone know how many homeland security helicopter the NJSP has? I don't mean the medevac helicopters like Northstar. I'm talking about the patrol choppers that follow pursuits, look for suspects after a bail out, etc. I heard them a couple of times, I think they call themselves simply "air #" is that correct? And they operate on B5-08 AIR/AVIATION if not on a job am I correct? Just trying to update my understanding. Thanks.

I belive they have 9 in total, I was speaking with one of there piolts today at a demo, and they landed one. Not to sure how many are north/south star though.

Also, he said they can get there patrol helicopter up to about 165mph, but normal crusing speed is like 120mph I think they said.

I believe they run 1 each on duty for Northstar and Southstar, and 1 each reserve. If I can remember where I saw that I will post a link.
