New Jersey State Police (NJSP) is requesting STA operating on interoperable frequency
852.5125/807.5125 MHz in the area of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. This request is
critical to provide public safety communications in support of Hurricane Irma recovery
efforts. Temporary repeater is to be set up at a location to be determined and accessed
by up to 50 subscriber units within St. Thomas.

Wouldnt this have been better posted in the St Thomas/Virgin Islands area?Nobody in Jersey will hear this.

You do realize that the frequency in question (852.8125) is 8TAC93, a national interoperability channel, right? This isn't some sort of unique or special frequency that they're using down there, it's a very common frequency for any US state or territory.
