It did not show up down here in Troop A land.
Can you double check that talkgroup? That falls in between 36496 (C3-1) and 36528 (C3-2). Nothing showed up on my unitrunker either.
That's not a valid TG - it's doesn't divide by 16.
It's 36496 +12, which would be a DES emergency patch.

There are 15 spaces between every Type-II talkgroup to facilitate special functions on the system to the site controller (emergency button activation, dynamic regrouping initiated by the dispatcher, TG to TG patches, etc.).
All modern GRE & Uniden units can be set to 'ignore status bit', and that should be enabled. It will then show you the default TG that's really in use for the special situation (and the modern GRE units will not even respond to the encrypted status bit flags above 8, and henceforth, not even attempt to unmute).

Awesome explanation! Could you provide an overall explanation of TG's and how they are assigned, created and used? Is this method unique to the SP operation?
