Hi All,

I'm importing the trunked information for NJSP Troops A, B, C.from Radio Reference directly into WIN500. In the RR database, all talkgroups are decimal, ala Southstar 26800. Yet when I import the data, all talkgroups are imported in 00-400,etc format. When I manually try to change from HEX to DEC, it still reverts. What am I doing wrong?

In Win500, ckick the TSYS tab, near the top right you'll see a Fleet Map Box, change the type to Type-II and set all the size codes to 0, click OK.

Seems to be ok. I put all the tgid's and cc in one list as someone said to do. Seems to be working well. I guess these new scanners look for the best cc and then does its thing.

WE'll that was my suggestion to ya ,as far as one list for TGID's but you should still put the CC in as three sites A,B,C . I find you can control which site is hitting you the strongest and monitor that one , with all cc together from all troops in the same bank the scanner may use one of the control channels that might not have the strongest signal, but will still be picked up by the scanner . I only say this because that is how i first prog. mine and i found that was a problem . maybe tho it will work for you in your area.. anyhow lots of luck .... happy monitoring... talk to ya later

Yea thanks for the tip. I am on my blackberry so I get a e-mail and I reply to the posts. I find it works better to put all the cc's in one bank with all the talk groups. I tried the other way and did not work as well. Still a choppy system to monitor.
