A three county P25 system especially in their terrain will be very expensive. Most of these agencies have barely been able to maintain their conventional systems. I am curious as to how they plan to fiance this.

The local news says it's supposed to be $30 million. I kind of thought they'd mention some tie in or linking to the new TRS at CVG, but no mention of it. Maybe they just didn't have enough info on it when they were putting out the bid package or maybe it'll stay a separate system.

Being that Kenton County is leading the charge on the new NKY regional system I wouldn't be surprised to see some incorporation of the new CVG system run by the Kenton County Airport Board.

This will be a very interesting system to follow being that it's being built from the ground up. The next major step occurs in February with the opening of the bids.
