Is NLFD using its UHF channels? I have not listen to UHF since New London switched to Waterford's P25 system, and tonight heard a few EMS calls on 460.63750.

Haven't heard anything on UHF except on Friday 453.900 and 453.275 both had open carriers for a short period of time.

460.637 was used for dispatching only back before the trunk system went in use. From what I remember it was pretty low power, non repeated. Did you hear calls only getting dipatched or actual back and forth comms?

Coolrich,

I only heard dispatch, but it was more than one call and all EMS runs. I rarely if ever keep the old Radio Shack scanner on, but it was on yesterday at the same time as the 396xt and heard it along side the Wtfd/P25 system dispatch.

I bet that they also will dispatch fire calls if you listen long enough. That is interesting though. Most likely it's still being used as a station alert type thing. I remember way back, when they would use that freq for dispatching a call and then 453.900 would only be for the response. Then at some point they starting using 453.900 and 460.637 together for initial dispatch. Do they still use 453.762 for fireground? I never hear fireground comms on the trunk system.
