It sounds like the radio techs setting up this system are using talk group id #1.

They seemed to be pointing antennas (microwave links?) earlier this afternoon. I picked them up on Santa Fe site 3 while I was driving between Espanola and Velarde on State Road 68.

Heard brief transmissions today on TG 133 and 137 on Sandia 4 and West Mesa 5. Too short to hear anything to ID users.

Took a road trip Friday west on I40. Could hear Sandia site 4 to about mp 130, just a bit east of Laguna. West to Grants, not a peep from any of the listed systems 1-8

TG 135 this afternoon. Two females, informal talk. Made a reference to “central”

TG 150, encrypted, Sandia site 4 this afternoon about 5pm.

It is expected to hear 50/50 or sometimes full encryption once the system is fully built. While it is a button option for all channels, many will be strapped. You can expect to see more of it once vhf becomes a past time.

I should add special investigations, tac, base to base, detectives, admin, ncic, including a secure state car should be expected along with district secure channels. Once the uhf med channels are dropped and state wide ems has the 700 installed with respective talkgroups those will be secured unfortunately on 700. Those installs do not give fire or ems access to encrypted state district encrypted channels just fyi.
