No Audio on P25T Phase 1 System

I recently got a new BCD536HP. I programmed it via Sentinel with my Favorites list and I am not getting anything on my states System(MSCommNet). I tried resetting the user settings, the full database and entering the system by hand with no luck at all. Im able to hear everything else just fine. I'm also running the latest firmware for the 536

Put that in and still nothing on CommNet. i'm at a lost. I get it on my TRX 1 and my Unication g2 just fine but for some reason I can't get it at all on the 536

Two members in the Maine forum just installed the file. One is using a SDS200 and the other is using a HP2. Both reported that the file works great. Do you have the Custom 1 service type enabled? Are Download and Monitor both On for the favorites list?

Yes to all above. It'll shove a talkgroup as active but it wont unmute on my end. I can hear the convo on my Unication g2 just fine in the same room next to he scanner using the antenna that came with the g2. I'm using the antenna that came with the 536

Double check which service types you have enabled. I looked at Jim's file & it appears that all the TGIDs are tagged as "Custom 1".

Are you using location control, either on the main database, or in your Favorites list? Is your location, and range, set correctly?

Here's a slightly different file, with location data in place, and with the service types as in the database. In addition to the statewide system (CommNet), I've also added the conventional channels listed on your county's database page.

Are you closer to one of the sites (on the state system) than the ones listed for your county.

I don't know if the favorites list quick key is stripped when you import a hpe file. The file has a favorites list quick key of 0. Try pressing 0 and then E on the keypad to enable it.

I don't see any problems with the programming. Do other P25 systems work OK? Try doing an IFX on all of the site frequencies. If other P25 systems work OK, the only thing I can think of at this time is an interference problem. You might try turning on the attenuator in the case that a strong signal may be overloading and desensitizing the receiver or causing intermod problems.. Make sure that the center pin on the back of scanner antenna is not pushed in or broken off and that the antenna is pushed all of the way onto the BNC connector..

One thing that I just noticed is that the Granite Hill site is set to a manual Digital Threshold Level of 10.

I put the Digital Threshold to 8 and i've switched out a couple different antennas and same thing. I'm wondering if the latest firmware is causing issues. im running 1.28.14

I am running the same firmware version on my 536 with no problems. Did you try using the attenuator and IFX. I have had issues with a nearby FM broadcast or paging transmitter causing problems on VHF frequencies. I had to install a notch filter in the antenna line to eliminate a paging transmitter that was wiping out all of out scanners in the newsroom.

Does the TG stay up the whole time you hear the transmission on your other receiver or does it disappear within a couple of seconds.
If you manually go to the site frequencies, do you hear audio? (IOW, if you enter one in Quick Search mode, will it decode audio from the voice channel conventionally?)
