No Hogansville at all.....Troup County

I have been receiving Hogansville via Troup county for years. Now It is downloaded from RR and list the codes but when uploaded it never picks Hogansville up at all. I live only 2 miles from Hogansville. Please let me know if anyone knows a fix for this......Thanks in advance MC

Do you have all of the trunk frequencies for the Hogansville site programmed into the scanner?? Do you have the scanner set to P-25 Auto? Makes a difference on how it receives the site/sites.

I do have all the frequencies for Hogansville from RR. I will have to check on the scanner see to auto P-25 tho. I will upload to scanner in the morning and let you know if it works.

The LaGrange/Troup County Trunked System appears to have made some recent changes or updates that are not listed in RR yet.

It looks like a New Trunked License was approved around Oct. 2023.
Some New Sites appear to have been added.
Some New Frequencies appears to have been added.

Unsure if the current Sites or Freq.s listed in RR are still active or not or if they have been changed over to the New Simulcast System?

Try these Freq.s out under a Simulcast Site and see if they work.

If the system is indeed Phase 2, the PRO-106 and WS1040 will not be able to receive it. You can try setting up a P25 Auto system using those 8 frequencies and a wildcard for talkgroups.

I don't think the new system is live, but maybe it is? It was just ordered recently (October?). I do know for a fact that it will be encrypted, so not happy about that at all. If I remember, I'll ask my source about the Troup system tomorrow. I should be seeing them tomorrow evening for an unrelated matter.

Okay, I did get to discuss the Troup system with my source this evening. Here is the scoop. The new system has been ordered and some new towers are supposed to be built as part of the project. Nothing new is on the air, or even close to it. The old system is still valid. This week the Hogansville site lost power, so that may be why you didn't hear traffic. Apparently there is no UPS and no site generator at that site, so if the power is out then it is down, but that should be a rare and brief event. If you are not hearing traffic right now, then something is wrong with your setup. Oh, also in regard to encryption, apparently that is not a done deal so there may be some hope yet. Hopefully the powers that be will elect to not encrypt all public safety traffic.

I have put my on RSEDIT software and rewrote to the scanners on the P25 only. I have yet to hear the Hogansville at all still. I am still picking up LPD and TCSO and AMR and TFD/LPD. I will try to mess with some of these new codes and get back to advise findings.

Hey, mocman. I don't have any details, but I was recently told by someone else in the radio business that Hogansville is now on a DMR system. That would explain why you are not hearing Hogansville on the Troup County owned system.

I am in Hogansville and new to scanners SDRTrunk and Unitrunker. Have successfully monitored P25 for Troup but like mentioned no Hogansville. Any solutions for DMR & E?
