No longer hear Stamford EDACS??

Hi. I',m right at the Merritt on the north side of Stamford and wheher on North or South, don't seem to be able to track the system any longer. Has always worked well on BC250d with ARC250PRO (except for when I accidentally switched Icall to ONLY) but nothing now- tho I hear the 800 stuff in Scan mode. Thoughts?

strange?? No frequency changes noted in database, are you sure the frequencies are in separate banks? they do suggest this in the new england frequency guide.

Separate banks

I have tried each set of frequencies in the proper order, in seaparate banks. Have even reloaded a known, working set of freqs from March of last year from a .MEM file- no dice. I'll have to drive right into downtown Stanford later and see how it works. The scanner still scans and tracks in ID Search or ID Scan Greenwich, CTSP etc.

I drive from Norwalk to Greenwich( via 95) during the week and I am picking up the downtown site ok! The system fades out when I hit Darien but that is normal for this system.

I heard the system as loud and as clear as it usually is on thurs.

the system is active on the live feed from scanct.com. maybe you locked out a channel or something simply overlooked? its not an overly active system and transmits very poorly for an edacs system.good luck in finding the problem. I own a bc250 and a bc296. when i am in mineola ny,a western part of long island, i used to hear the police and village fire ids at night. but not recently after reading your post i tried saturday night and heard nothing!!

Heaing again

OK, so there must have been a freq off by a digit or something. I got kind of annoyed last night and just re-setup my Banks 3 and 4 with Stamford North and South in seaparate banks again. Now I do hear them well on the South site only. Thanks for thehelp all!! Happy again.

I live 3 streets away from the merrit, and I hear nothing anymore.

I have south and North programmed. The codes were enterered by radioshack.

I also bought the 800mhz antenna, the $18 one. And this has improved nothing.


Any ideas?

i would re-check the programming that radio shack gave you with whats in the rr database.

The programming looks to be correct, and its for sure that scanner antenna is garbage. It didn't even pull in Stamford FD Vol Department! Popped in the original, this antennas going back!


I will look over the codes for the north system

right now i have

701ED 866.11250
702ED 866.76250
703ED 867.78750
704ED 868.33750


Those are all in bank 7

btw, i have the pro 97 scanner.

none of those codes are locked out either. The scanner is scanning bank 7, and edacs mode is on for bank 7

So puzzled!
