To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Are you using factory power cables with an inline fuse? Check those fuses. If not it may have blown the Pico fuse inside the radio. Those cables have no orientation on them so it could be easy to flip them. Were they ignition sense before you hooked up the cable?

Should be near where the red power wire solders to the board. A diode will be near it. It looks like an all green resistor. Take your multimeter and see if you have continuity across it, or apply power and see if there is power on both sides.

You could bypass the fuse just to see if it works, tweezers always work for me. 2 amp pico fuse, would just grab some off ebay.

Are you sure you didnt accidentally hook the power up backwards?

voltage on power supply was reading 13.5 the radios did work also on the radio that was getting 10 amp read on ptt was set for tx i added a fan for cooling direct to power cable when i would ptt it would bog down like it was draining the fan would slow down so i unplugged fan to see what it would do did not fix it radio still powered down so i dont know if this amp rating had something to do with radios and or cable both i just crapped my when i ended up with over a hundred dollars paper weights

It sounded like you used your ohm meter or continuity tester and turned the power off and on. You should NEVER have power applied when using those two devices.
