No serial port

If my pc doesn't have a serial port, is there another cable I can get, that utilizes the USB. BCT15x

Let's hope that one isn't one of those Chinese knockoffs (that low price is a red flag) - the current version of the Prolific drivers won't work with it, if that's the case....Mike

If you decide to go the route of the serial to usb adapter, just make sure it's compatible with your operating system. I went through hell trying to get one to work with Win 8 when it wasn't compatible. Returned that and bought another that was compatible, plugged it in, and it worked immediately. I also decided to make use of the serial port on the rear because I really didn't care for the front-mounted data cable, and I prefer to keep it connected permanently. I use a null modem cable from the rear port to the serial/usb cable and it works fine.
