I have registered yet not in system 6 times,unit stopped responding touch screen wont work was told to throw it away its on last legs 500 + dollars what a piece of junk

Uniden advised you to throw it away? I find that hard to believe.

In all seriousness, if you can provide a bit more detail on exactly what's happening and when, we might be able to help you out right here on this forum. We have lots of knowledgeable folks in here willing to help out, all you need do is ask and provide specific details of the problem.

Yes, because Uniden support makes money by telling people to throw their broken scanners away. That was about the only thing I garnered from that huge run-on sentence.
