I've been scanning through from about 5Mhz to 25Mhz during the day and I'm not getting ANY world cup broadcasts to the West Coast of USA.

I know BBC has rights to broadcast the games, but I can't pick up BBC from here.

Anyone know anywhere that I could pick it up on the west coast?

Probably the best bet would be listening to Mexican or South-American broadcast stations, especially from Brazil.

I haven't checked personally, but it's also possible that you could pick it up on AFN (Armed Forces Network) on SSB.

Also, the games are on at 430am, 7am and 1130am back to the west coast. That might limit your frequencies a bit depending on propagation.

A quick scan of the DXLD Yahoo group shows Argentina's day outlet 15344v (yes, that's off the usual 15345), a few Cuban transmissions (both in Spanish, natch) as well as Madagascar on 40m all have been carrying World Cup action. You might also try targeting the countries that are scheduled to compete during that day, and see if those countries are rebroadcasting World Cup time-delayed; as Nick notes, being on the West Coast, your chances are a bit limited...73 Mike
