Hello,

Have a BCD436.

It seems that after selecting a few QK's for some FAV to monitor, the NOAA Weather broadcasts
always come up, also.

Is this because I am also monitoring the full National Database ?
If so, how do I tell it not to monitor NOAA (too) ?

Once I clear this up, what is the simplest way to pull up the NOAA broadcasts when I want to ?
And what is the best way to go back to normal scanning without the NOAA broadcasts ?

Thanks,
Bob

NOAA is under Federal category so if Federal is enabled, on full database scan your device will hit NOAA.

Hi,

Thanks so much for help; really appreciated.
Sure isn't very "intuitive".

Might I please ask you these also:

a. "Press Avoid twice"

Assuming I'm still scanning the National Database, how would I Re-Enable NOAA from it ?

b. If I'm Not scanning the National Database, should I still be able to access the
NOAA broadcasts ? How ?

Or, does one have to have the National Database in use to be able to pull up NOAA ?

Again, thanks,
Bob

Better to get to weather by going to weather search. I had thought that WX freqs were not supposed to be put into RRDB, but not absolutely certain.
