I noticed that NOAA KIG76 162.55 in Evnasville disappeared during the ice and snow storm Tuesday. Anyone know what happened?

NWS Paducah was disconnected from the weather feed for a while, that may have been an issue. Plus there was an ice storm down around there, power or feed disconnects could have occurred.

NWS Paducah is still very limited in their ability to provide services...

The 162.425 in Edwarsport is still on. I know it's a little further north but, I'm surprised they can't feed the Evansville transmitter with the same audio from Edwardsport. It may not be as accurate for Evansville folks but it's better than nothing. I happen to live in between and listen to both. My s.a.m.e. code works off of both transmitters depending on which one I chose. I would think with voIP and the all of the other technology available that they would be able to reroute audio. I guess I'm surprised that there is no backup. I know that it comes from Paducah but you would think that they could do a forecast from some other location. Good thing it's not tornado season.
