I'm new to listening, so this is probably old news.
Do all of the dispatches come from that automated female voice (as opposed to a live human), or is that something they're testing? Despite being a native New Orleanian, it's SO much easier to understand.

NOFD uses locution automated dispatch primarily. But like most agencies using it, do keep live dispatchers in the loop for training, and for when locution goes down/gets taken offline for various reasons.

I'm confused why in the database it lists TG 29584 as NOFD ADMIN 3 when it sounded more like the primary paging talkgroup when I was visiting last weekend.

Things may have changed up since the last time anyone made a sub. Last time I was in the big greasy, I mean easy, they were just starting to play around with APX radios.... From what I hear they run 6000, and 6000XE pretty much exclusively now? Just glad they aren't going full E for FD. It's sure been getting pushed hard in the SELA region for all operations.
