Noise on SCPD Trunked System

it is now 8:50 PM 1/18/09 and Im hearing alot of noise on the SCPD system. Its like a staticky stuck transmitter or something. Anyone else hearing this as well??

Happens on command alot, and has been there for a while. It gets bad at sometimes, the units can not communicate.

Almost sounds like a microwave/tie line problem.

Command band is simulcast on the old VHF frequency. That is where the 'interference' arises.
If they shut off the VHF side, the problem goes away.

Command Band VHF will eventually be shut down permanently. SCPD recently shut down the 2nd Pct VHF simulcast for good.

I agree. That noise has been annoying on that system. sometimes it prevents you hearing the transmissions clearly!!
