BC350C: Noise

after warming up any setting on Squelch radio scanner still has static noise
Time frame is a few seconds. Leaving off for a time and the process is a few minutes.

I have a 350C I use in my garage. I pick up static from time to time. I believe it is a data burst. Some static bursts are longer than others. That could be what you're picking up.

Thanks, Think my problem is more involved than just location. I tried it at my neighbors and also in my vehicle up the road.
The squelch control has no function after the noise starts. Decided to buy a new one for about the same cost of repair.
Problem just started yesterday and continues now. I have 2 other scanners with no problems with location. I presume it is something in the circuitry?
