Its been real quiet today and 825.1125 is locked on as if someones is on. At the bottom of radio display is an area that says search, on all the other freqs. but this freq. is saying P25:000
P25 system is turned on but appears to be only for testing. 852.1125 was the CC last week. You should see 0097-0101 for sysid. Bandplan appears to be a bit odd.
Look for switch over from EFJ Multinet to P25 in next two weeks or so.
You will be able to if the talkgroups are not encrypted. I would expect the PD to have some, if not all, of their talkgroups encrypted. I don't have any information on that, just that I would expect them to. They are encrypted on their P25 channel now.
No list but the activity I saw was on TG 61. The Multinet layout put that as Fire Dispatch. It remains to be seen if they will be the same layout.
PD was 11-29
DPW and schools were 31-52
FD was 61-99
As I mentioned, only two channels are being used so far. They are both from the existing TRS. I don't know what they are planning, only what I monitored when I stopped by there and did a search. I friend mentioned that it would be around two weeks before they went over to the new system.
They are in the process of testing the digital system now. I don't believe that the PD will be encrypted but i'm unsure about that. i'm waiting to hear back from my connection in dispatch to find out more info. stay tuned
i tried to put the sytem in as a p25 system on my 396xt and there is no where to put the ids above,i wanted to monitor them to see what action was going on
I hope you guys are ridiculously simple in explaining what to do in future. I tried to enter a 097 something thingy instead of search and did switch to p-25, a few weeks back. That is now perm locked out due to it locking up system with silence. For now, I hear things as usual.
the scanner ask for a band plan which nobody knows yet on the 396xt it looks like you have tochoose motorola system so you can put in the ids when they come available,,i tried it chosing the p25 system and there is no option topu t in radio ids,we will see what happens in a couple of weeks and then we can wor out the bugs in our scanners.
waterbury had a major fire today i listened to them while i was on scene i just monitored their freqs and i was picking up most of their communication, i had to lock out one freq it kept locking on-i scanned it conventionally,i cant wait until they switch so i can hear just them
