I'm totally new to both Ham radio & SDR.
I have a Nooelec NESDR Smart v4 Bundle - Premium RTL-SDR w/Aluminum Enclosure, 0.5PPM TCXO, SMA Input & 3 Antennas. RTL2832U & R820T2-Based Software Defined Radio and a RTL-SDR Blog V3 R820T2 RTL2832U 1PPM TCXO HF Bias Tee SMA Software Defined Radio with Dipole Antenna Kit.
I downloaded and installed SDRTrunk (sdr-trunk-windows-x86_64-v0.5.0-alpha3) and JMBE (jmbe-creator-windows-x86_64-v1.0.7b.zip), I was following an install video on here, but I stopped prior to doing the steps for P25 Phase 1 as it looked a bit difficult, so I'm pausing and just looking to confirm that I do in fact need to do the additional steps or if maybe that's no longer necessary because of recent updates. guess I'm a bit confused at this point. any assistance would be appreciated.
I have a premium radio reference account and I've been using that to add channels to the playlist editor, in order to use the SDR as a scanner? forgive me if I'm using the wrong terminology. thank you, nice to meet you guys and girls.
