Been playing with a Terratec E4000 dongle for a few weeks, and just got a NooElec RTL2832U/R820T in the mail yesterday. So far, it seems WAY more sensitive, but I'm having an issue with hearing FM broadcast signals in other bands. For example, I can tune somewhere around 24-25 MHz and hear a station that's actually broadcasting at 88.3 MHz. The same thing happens toward the upper end of the stick's range as well, but still within the frequencies that the dongle supports. I don't get this with my Terratec dongle, and it otherwise seems to receive fine.
Is this normal for this particular stick? What causes it? Disclaimer: I am not a ham, and have little background in radio other than as a user, so I'm on a crash course.
