NORCOM revamping... ?

Listening to Norcom Fire Dispatch 1 (1399). All Aid/Medic emergencies are now on Tac 8 and Fire Alarms, etc. are on Tac 10, which was used for training if I recall.

Are there any changes myself and others should know ?

PSERN in general is undergoing a lot of changes this month. There are a lot of new talkgroups that I haven't seen before April that are now in daily use. SFD is supposedly going to encrypt every Tac channel and only leave Dispatch CH4 in the clear. Possible that's why Norcom is rearranging things this month as well.

Kinda dumb to encrypt fire channels...

Kind of dumb to live stream, live tweet and live Facebook post every transmission that comes over the scanner, but that's what led to this. Social media idiots just need their 'likes'.
It can always get worse, so be happy dispatch *might* be clear. Lots of places don't even get that now.
