Norfolk FBI?

Yesterday I picked up an encrypted signal on 167.2125 from my home in Chesapeake. From checking the RR database, tis appears to be an FBI frequency in different parts of the country, but I've never heard it used in the Hampton Roads area before. Can anyone advise if this is normally used by the Bureau in Norfolk, or possibly by another agency?

I wasn't able to tell the NAC. I was using a BCD396T, which I don't think can display the NAC. Also, I think the local FBI system is still conventional.

Ahh ok, with the fed stuff the easiest way to try and narrow down who the user is, is by the NAC.

NAC Alone is not a positive identifier.
Freq+NAC+RID is 100%, but Freq+NAC gets you 80-90%

That said, 167.2125 is "MOSTLY" assigned to the FBI but not exclusive.

For the OP, yes most of the FBI are conventional, but NAC is just like the old Analog PL tone
And keep in mind, much Federally is not submitted to the RRDB as many of us like to listen
to the CLR Traffic and do not want to kill our entertainment.

If you can get the NAC, it’s helpful. But if you look in the VA Federal DB, it may be in there
