Heard MD 1 come up on NFR Tac 2 and advise a patient was 151 following a cardiac arrest, who is MD 1, Medical Director, or maybe I misheard, maybe it's ME 1?

just curious, what are the MD's duties?

All of the EMS personnel work under his license. Ensures that medical protocols are followed. Each city has their on medical director but their involvement varies.

He has a city issued vehicle and occasionally responds to calls if close by.
