Folks, I'd like your input. I broadcast the Norfolk, NE feed and I have been including alpha tags with this feed. I would like your input as to whether I should continue this or switch out my scanner to one that does not provide alpha tags.

Obviously it would be preferable to have alpha tags on the feed, but if you have something else in mind for that scanner, by all means, put the other one in. It is your equipment and don't believe for a minute that anyone can tell you what to do with it.
I voted no as well. My feed doesn't have the ability to tag and I've never had any complaints. Yes you might get a few people upset that they're gone if they're regular listeners but like burner said it's your feed so if you need to swap the scanners then go for it!
I have had large incidents where there are 300-400+ listeners and I noticed on the feed providers page there there are generally no more then about 5 listeners listening on a browser/device/app that is capable of displaying tags. I say do what you want since most if not all listeners will even notice the tags are gone.
I apologize for the poor audio quality, guys. I'm working to try and get a better scanner to run this feed, as my Pro-164 just ain't cuttin' it. The only other scanner I have does not do trunking which is 95 percent of the transmissions on my feed. I would like to purchase a digital scanner, but I don't have the money to buy one. Please bear with me as I'm actively working to resolve the issue.
