Norfolk RACOM Site

I am looking for some verification of LCN assignments. In the database, we have a RACOM site listed for Norfolk, NE. The thing is, I have been doing some analysis of the RACOM system frequency assignments and there is a pattern to all assignments. The only problem is the reported LCN's for the RACOM site in Norfolk don't fit that pattern. As a matter of fact they don't fit it in a couple of ways. And it is the only RACOM site we have in the DB that doesn't fit.

The bottom line, is could use some good data on the site in Norfolk. I would love a ETrunker output dataset, but will settle for someone with a scanner that is actually tracking the system to give me the correct LCN lineup.

I have been monitoring the system here in Norfolk since the NPD went to it. I have been using the following four frequencies. All of the extra ones listed in the database, they are not being used. I have only heard NPD, Lifenet, and Aquila Gas on this system. But then again I only monitor the NPD and Lifenet talk groups on this system. The following are the LCN. Thanks, Fred. N0VLX.

2) 862.9625
3) 863.9625
4) 864.9625

Having read your post, I decided to pack my Etrunker setup for my trip to Norfolk this weekend. Here is the output after monitoring the system for about an hour.

Well I guess that seems to be that. It agrees with the one other Sys 8 type system listed in the DB for the lower LCN's. What it does not agree with is the Sys 2 type entries which also use those frequencies in positions 6, 7, 8, & 9. These are the only frequencies in the entire system that don't fit the pattern.

The observation made was that if you look at any discrete frequency in the RACOM system, it is always in a unique LCN throughout the system. I mean there may be more than one frequency in a certain LCN, but if you look at the system as a whole, 861.2625 is always in LCN 1.

Of course the other possibility is that the sites for Lincoln, NE and Dyersville, IA are wrong as they are the ones that say those frequencies belong to Sys 02 sites and should be in 6, 7, 8, & 9. Can anyone confirm Lincoln? I'd hate to have one Site ID (08) as the exception to the rest of the system. Or another possibility is that those Sys 02 sites never allow those Sys 08 frequencies to be the control channel. That would cover this also issue also.

I am using a RS Pro 95. Also have the "a" version of a Pro 94 monitoring it also.

I have not used etrunker with the Lincoln Racom system for quite a while. I let it run the last couple of days. Attached is the etrunker file for the Lincoln Racom System. I have also attached an etrunker file for the Seward, NE Racom tower.
