North Carolina New License Grants

Another slow week for FCC licenses in NC. Guilford Co, Wayne Co, and NCDOC got licenses renewed, Amazon got a modification (believe added radius to the license). Been lots of campaign activity in the state the past week, those around Fayetteville and Lumberton might catch more activity today. While USSS are usually encrypted the statewide event channels have been very active. Hope you hear something interesting out there. Have a great week and on to the license grants below.

Another week of 2020 craziness, but if you are reading this you probably survived it, CONGRATULATIONS! A couple of exciting new frequencies for you this week, I know everyone will be rushing to New Hanover County to listen to the county landfill and VIPER will have a new tower in Charlotte. Among the renewals were the American Red Cross, Guilford County, NASCAR Media Group and the State Office of EMS (which I've never actually heard).

UHF frequencies are the "old" State Med System. Glad to see it may be coming back

True, just never know. UHF Med System is the same situation even though they renewed. OEMS said the system is fairly well depreciated.

A week full of renewals, and a couple new business frequencies, on the list this week. Asheboro, NCSHP, Longview, Fayetteville and Hoke County all have renewals, while two Charlotte businesses (UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel and 650 S Tryon Development, an 18 story office tower) have new licenses.

Another week of mostly renewals, including NCSHP, City of Kinston, Pitt Co Hospital, Wataga Med Ctr, Rowan Co, and RCS Comms and a security company in Greensboro. Davie Co schools were granted a new DMR license. Maybe next week will be better, but with Cristmas close I doubt it.

Four more NCDPS prisons get NXDN license grants, bringing the total to 45, two businesses, North Ridge Country Club, in Raleigh, gets an analog license and Prime Beverage in Kannapolis gets a DMR license. And finally two renewals for the NC State Forest Service. Hope everyone has a great Christmas.

A little activity this week, NCDPS Prisons in three locations have gotten new grants for the switch to NXDN in the facility, a few businesses, including a food plant in Zebulon, a crane company out of Graham, and medical furniture company in Statesville all got analog grants, and the City of Burlington renewed a couple of existing licenses.

A lot of frequencies this week, but almost all of them were renewals including Jacksonville, Lumberton, Mitchell Comm College, Guilford, NC State Parks, Town of Black Creek, and SHP data terminals, among others.

A few new ones for you, Novant Health has added some new DMR frequencies for inter-hospital and security, the NCDPS added another NXDN system for Lumberton prison, and Elizabeth Baptist Church in Cleveland NC has added DMR frequencies for its food delivery ministry.
