Dave, Im still not really sure why they called the EOD.

Did you hear the officer (132) and the Lt. (102) SCREAMING to get the medics there NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They seemed like citizens that scream, GET THE POLICE HERE NOW!!!. Its not like we can snap our fingers and go "poof" ok, they're there.

Yes... I did hear that. My heart was in my throat. I have a recording of 102's call and the escort to the hospital but have trouble going back and listening to it. I know it had to be hard on you, too! Keep up the great work, buddy.

Dave, actually, I heard their trafficl after the fact, when I was listening to the tape... at this point of course, I knew the condition of the officer.
So, as a dispatcher, to me, they sounded like idiots. We cant get the medics there RIGHT NOW.
I know it was an "excited utterance" from the two of them, but still it sounded like the police were out of control.

I recall years ago, a pedestrian was struck by a car in front of the jail... an officer witnessed it... and did the same thing... kept SCREAMING for the medics. The dispatcher, (also named David), finally keyed up and said ... (making up the unit, I dont remember)... "439, I don't drive that big red truck... they are on their way" lol.
